Practice description
I can offer a Humanistic model of therapy and supervision which encompasses a range of models dependant on the needs of the client or supervisee and delivered in a Person Centred way.
I have an enhanced DBS and Indemnity Insurance and I abide by the BACP code of ethics.
I am a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor of individual counsellor and psychotherapists offering face to face and telephone appointments.
About me and my therapy practice.
I have 20 years+ experience in working with individuals and families in both child and adult Statutory Services. This has given me an understanding of the pressures that adults and young people face in the challenging times we are in and the need to support and improve mental wellbeing, and promote positive mental health through counselling.
I am a counsellor and supervisor and have previously worked for a number of agencies. These include Voluntary counselling organisations including an Alcohol and Drug service, latterly a service within a National Children’s Charity and currently within a local School’s Counselling service, Hospice Bereavement and EAP work.
My supervision experience includes working with individuals who offer a range of models in their client work within the NHS, EAP companies and private work. I have experience of group work supervision within a voluntary counselling agency, together with experience of supervising trainee counsellors.
My working week is flexible with appointments by arrangement. Please phone/email me to arrange an initial phone consultation of up to 30 minutes (no charge) to discuss your needs and decide whether you wish to continue with regular sessions with myself. I can offer a Person Centred approach in a safe and supportive environment.
Charges are £50 per hour.
I work with adults and young people aged 16 years or over.
