Services Offered

Counselling Supervision
Colour Therapy
Counsellor and Psychotherapist

The minimum amount of clinical supervision required by BACP needed is 1.5 hours per month depending on experience. Supervision is important for discussing casework and other professional issues in a structured way. The purpose is to assist the practitioner in learning from his or her experiences and to progress in expertise. This benefits the service user / client and ensures good and effective service, helping you to evolve your practice.

There will need to be an agreement about the boundaries of confidentiality regarding the clients to whom you are accountable.  This will vary depending on whether you are in training, working through an agency or in private practice.

I also offer supervision to non-counsellors who are working in different environments, for example; teaching, housing, management in regards to agency policies and also private supervision.

With all new supervisee’s I will ascertain your qualifications, professional membership and insurance.  Always ask about your expectations of supervision and clarify my limitations and boundaries.  As a supervisor I will support and guide you to meet your needs and expectations.

I will be mindful of my supervisees’ feelings with clients and support you in acknowledging these and how they might affect best practice.  If there is a client issue that personally affects your professional work, I will encourage attending your own personal therapy to work on this.

An understanding and awareness of difference and diversity needs to be kept in mind at all times in our work together to ensure equal opportunities for clients.

I aim to support, accept and interact with my supervisees in a collaborative and confidential working manner.  I am aware that I need a good understanding of different theoretical models, with a willingness and openness to declare what I may not know and might need to research.

I hope this answers any questions you may have about supervision and how I works, but please do not hesitate to contact me for any further information.

Colour Mirrors can be described as a message in a bottle for healing and transformation.

What drew me to become a Colour Mirrors Practitioner was learning about the psychology of colour.  Papyrus scrolls dating back to 1550 BC suggests the Ancient Egyptians used colour to cure ailments.  Ancient Chinese texts also record colour therapies.

How do they work?

When you select a bottle, you instinctively access the energy and vibration of the colours within, offering insights, and increasing self-awareness.

Each bottle carries a meaning.  When you connect with the bottle it will show blocks or areas of challenge.  As well as opportunities for development, where we can increase out potential.

Everything is energy and because we are energy beings, the unconscious knows what you need before the mind does.  Colour also works on a cellular level.

However you choose to work with colour the body is absorbing the energy. The bottles can be bathed in or used to meditate.  Because the bottles are numbered it not only vibrates with the energy of its colour but also its number.

The sprays are useful before going to sleep as they bypass the unconscious mind.  Helping to quiet obsessive thoughts and over-thinking.

The bottles also contain top notes (fragrance) for example lavender and lemon grass.  They do not contain anything harmful and are made from water, oil and natural vegetable dye.

How I work

How I work with the Colour Mirrors System is to guide and facilitate, helping to unlock emotions and a process of understanding patterns of behaviour to release for example if you are in conflict with someone.

A bottle can be selected to heal for example OCD or anxiety instantly.

You can also use the bottle or sprays to manifest, for meditation and to heal and see what messages you receive.  I can also if requested provide numerology if you wish to look at colour in more depth.

Colour Therapy session £45 per hour. Bottles if purchased are at the additional cost of:- Bottles - £33 Sprays - £33

Sometimes we can find life difficult or overwhelming.  You may feel that anxiety or depression has reached unbearable levels.  Within the safety of a therapeutic relationship you can make sense of what is happening.

Counselling provides a confidential environment where you can talk freely about issues that are troubling you. Counselling helps you to deal with your problems and aids your personal development. It creates a sense of self-healing. It usually takes place on a one to one basis between you and the counsellor where you are listened to by a skilled and caring professional in a non-judgmental setting.

It’s not about telling you what to do nor is there an expectation to change you as a person. Counselling will enable you to explore any emotions you might be feeling or problems which are getting in the way of your daily life or something longer term that has been avoided for whatever reasons.

Please note I only see children over the age of 12yrs.
