Reflexology - Overview
Reflexology is a holistic treatment dating back to ancient times. We know through ancient texts and illustrations found in tombs that the Egyptians used Reflexology to promote good health.
Reflexology is based on the theory that there are reflex areas on the foot and hand that correspond to every area of the body.
How it may help Reflexology may encourage relaxation, balance and a reduction in stress levels.
Contraindications
Please be aware that Reflexology is contra-indicated in some conditions. The therapist will be happy to discuss this with you and advise you on where to go for more appropriate treatment or medical advice if this is indicated.
If you are having any medical treatment when you visit it is useful to let your doctor know that you have decided to have Relexology so you receive the best care from everyone. The Centre will send a letter to your GP after the first consultation but this will only be done with your full permission.
