Marion Dunlop Ph.D. - Director of Cumbria Therapies, Carlisle
On the therapeutic side of her work Marion is registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Hypno-Psychotherapy section. She offers stress counselling, clinical hypnotherapy and hypno-psychotherapy, coaching, supervision and reiki training. While working broadly with clients requesting hypno- and psychotherapeutic interventions, she has a particular interest in supporting people with post-traumatic stress anxiety/disorder (PTSD), phobias (particularly in clinical settings), relationship issues and self-confidence. She uses a range of modalities within her work e.g. CBT, EMDR, NLP, brief therapeutic approaches as well as more standard hypnotherapeutic methods in order to help the client regain control and confidence as speedily as possible. She is actively involved in the training and supervision of student psychotherapists and hypnotherapists. She is also qualified to supervise trained coaches and therapists. Along with a team of associates, she offers life and performance coaching, staff support services to organisations, stress management consultancy and personal development training sessions to individuals, teams and organisations through her training company - Esk Consulting Ltd., Carlisle She trained with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and gained her Diploma with distinction from the British Medical Hypnotherapy Examination Board. She undertook further psychotherapy training through Awaken School of Outcome Oriented Psychotherapies. She has also completed training as a Life and Performance Coach. She continues to develop her practice through attending additional training which is a requirement of her professional bodies. She is a member of the Royal College of Nursing, the British Society of Clinical and Academic Hypnosis, the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the Hypnotherapy Association, the UK Register of IBS Therapists, the UK Reiki Federation and the International Stress Management Association. These organisations all function under a strict code of conduct and ethical guidelines and require professional indemnity insurance as an aspect of membership. This is provided by the Royal College of Nursing. Marion is happy to undertake sessional work within the NHS.
